MIAMI, Fla.; July 26, 2012 — The Florida-based law firm Broad and Cassel is pleased to announce that Miami Partner George G. Mahfood has been elected by the Dade County Bar Association to serve as one of its representatives on the Board of Directors for Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. (LSGMI). Mahfood’s term begins in October 2012.

At Broad and Cassel, Mahfood is a member of the firm's Commercial Litigation and White Collar Criminal and Civil Fraud Defense Practice Groups. He has extensive trial and appellate experience in both civil and criminal litigation and has been named a “Florida Super Lawyer” by Law & Politics magazine in 2007, 2008, 2011 and 2012. In 2011 and 2012, he was designated as a “Top Attorney” by the South Florida Legal Guide. Mahfood is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and received his juris doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
