Mr. Scott G. Miller is a Partner in the Orlando office of Broad and Cassel. He is a member of the Firm's Estate Planning and Trusts Practice Group.

  • The cornerstone of Mr. Miller’s practice is Estate Planning and Administration. He also performs work in Tax and Tax Controversy.
  • Mr. Miller provides sophisticated and significant estate planning for very affluent clients, including but not limited to complex estate tax planning, business succession planning, life insurance planning, lifetime giving and charitable planning. He has also successfully handled many multi-million dollar Internal Revenue Service audits.
  • Mr. Miller is a frequent lecturer on Estate Planning and is the author of "Estate Tax Planning for non-resident Alien Business Owners," published in October 1997 for Estate Planning Magazine.
  • Prior to joining Broad and Cassel, Mr. Miller worked at Ernst & Young as a manager and estate planning coordinator for the Ernst & Young Center for Family Wealth Planning.
  • Mr. Miller holds an AV Preeminent® rating with the Martindale Hubbell publication (only five percent of attorneys are awarded this rating), a rating denoting the highest accolade an attorney can receive for his “legal ability” and “adherence to professional standards of conduct, ethics, reliability and diligence.” He was also designated a "Florida Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics magazine in 2007-2014, listed in the Orlando Business Journal's 2007 "Best of the Bar" and designated a 2008 and 2009 "Florida Legal Elite" in Florida Trend Magazine by his peers in Estate Planning, an honor awarded to less than 2 percent of the Florida Bar.
  • Mr. Miller is also Certified by the National Football League (NFL) Players Association as a Contract Advisor for National Football League players.
  • While attending the University of Michigan, he was the sports editor of the school newspaper, the Michigan Daily, and was the Big Ten Conference's top sports writer in his senior year.
Mr. Miller is involved with various professional and community organizations.
