Shane Martin

Mr. Martin is an Associate in the Miami office of Broad and Cassel. He is a member of the Firm’s Commercial and Real Estate Litigation Practice Groups.

  • Mr. Martin has significant experience in various areas of commercial and real estate litigation, including complex contract disputes, multi-million dollar commercial foreclosures and lender liability defense, disputes over non-compete and other employment agreements, defense of deceptive and unfair trade practices litigation, construction lien foreclosures and construction defect litigations.
  • Mr. Martin’s practice includes representation of respondents and claimants in arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and state and federal court lawsuits involving multi-million dollar claims for fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and violations of state and federal regulations in connection with the purchase and sale of securities and rendering of investment advice. He also represents lenders, banks and asset management firms, developers, homebuilders and general contractors, and local and national businesses in other areas of litigation.
  • While in law school, Mr. Martin was a staff editor for the University of Miami International and Comparative Law Review, and served as a judicial intern to Florida Supreme Court Justice Anstead. Mr. Martin received a variety of honors while a law student, including the Edwin Willinger Scholarship, the G.D. Gold Scholarship, and the Miami-Dade County Bar Association Pro Bono Award, which he received along with other members of the University of Miami School of Law’s Consumer Bankruptcy Clinic. Upon graduation, Mr. Martin was also elected to the Order of the Coif for his high attainments in the study of law.
