We believe the following factors make our Firm an exciting and rewarding place to practice law:

  • We are a well-established, successful Firm with a diverse practice. Founded in 1946, we are the seventh largest law Firm in Florida. No single client accounts for more than 5% of our time or services.
  • We enjoy a friendly, collegial, and supportive working environment. We believe strongly in the importance of fostering an atmosphere of mutual support and respect, rather than encouraging competition among our lawyers.
  • We believe in giving our new associates as much responsibility as they can comfortably handle. We believe that new lawyers must be trained in two very important ways: by working with more experienced lawyers on large cases and transactions and by handling their own matters. To that end, while new associates routinely work with partners or senior associates on large matters, we provide them with the opportunity to have primary responsibility for smaller cases and deals. This hands-on training is augmented by extensive in-house continuing legal education programs.
  • We are confident that the quality of our lawyers is second to none. Our lawyers are graduates of the nations finest colleges and law schools. Our commitment to the practice of law creates a professional environment that is exciting, challenging, intellectually rewarding, and very enjoyable.

Our practice environment also contributes substantially to job satisfaction. Our atmosphere is collegial, informal, and open. Our excellent support staff, coupled with the latest in technology, allows our lawyers the freedom to devote their attention to the practice of law.

Hiring Standards

We give our associates significant levels of responsibility and client-contact, therefore, when hiring, we look not only for superior credentials, but also for ethical standards, poise, and personality, as well as resourcefulness, initiative, and judgment.

Broad and Cassel does not discriminate against applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, marital status, national origin, citizenship, veteran status, ancestry, age, physical or mental disability, or medical condition, or any other consideration made unlawful by applicable laws.

Equal employment opportunity is extended to all persons in all aspects of the employer-employee relationship at Broad and Cassel, including recruitment and hiring. Although Broad and Cassel does not have a formal diversity program, we actively encourage and seek out highly qualified minority candidates and we participate in forums specifically geared toward attracting minority candidates.
