Director of Marketing and Business Development

 
Broad and Cassel, a statewide law firm with eight office locations, is searching for a Director of Marketing and Business Development to be based in the Orlando office. This individual reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer, and will be in charge of developing and executing the Firm’s strategic marketing and business development plan.


Responsibilities:

  • Direct the public relations and media functions for the Firm, and maintain strong relationships with members of the press to facilitate publicity and community relations efforts
  • Develop and direct Business development planning efforts throughout the Firm
  • Manage all marketing activities/events as determined by the Firm’s marketing plan
  • Prepare annual marketing budget, and ensure that all activities are completed in a cost-effective manner
  • Supervise all marketing personnel, and oversee the timely completion of assignments
  • Oversee creation of collateral pieces, including development of brochures, websites, social media initiatives
  • Conduct or obtain market research and analysis to support marketing efforts
  • Present progress reports and periodic updates on current marketing activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration and 7+ years of experience, including supervisory experience
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and respond to multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills required
  • Professional maturity, reliability, and sound decision making ability are considered essential

Office Manager

 

Broad and Cassel, a statewide law firm with nine office locations, is seeking an Office Manager for their Tampa office. The individual will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of a small office (15+ employees), including both human resources and operations management. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic “people person” who has the ability to multitask and who possesses strong problem solving skills. This individual must also have a “hands on” entrepreneurial management style with the highest level of integrity and business ethics.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing office staff and daily office operations including space management, purchasing, etc.
  • Handling staff recruiting, overseeing/conducting new employee orientations and maintaining personnel files
  • Coordinating the annual performance evaluation process
  • Training staff to be able to respond to the needs of attorneys and clients
  • Handling sensitive employee relations issues within the office
  • Analyzing and recommending solutions to HR issues and delivering HR services
  • Managing and modifying current systems and processes to ensure office and company efficiency
  • Assisting with legal billing and accounting
  • Troubleshooting technology issues with the help of the IT department

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of past supervisory experience in a small to medium sized organization required
  • Experience in a law firm environment highly preferred
  • Experience dealing with human resources issues and knowledge of federal and local labor and employment law required
  • Experience in operations/facilities management required
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and respond to multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills required
  • Professional maturity and sound decision making ability are considered essential
  • Mastery of technology including the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Reliability and initiative to be able to work effectively in a professional environment
  • Commitment to continuous organizational improvement
