Jacqueline S. Best’s practice focuses on real estate transactional work, including acquisition and development, title examination, contracts, plat development and multi-faceted transactions between governmental agencies. She has represented governmental agencies, including the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority, and the Osceola County Expressway Authority, lenders, developers, builders, commercial and residential clients in real estate, eminent domain and development matters.
In association with Right of Way Acquisition Counsel for the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority, she has coordinated with engineering, appraisal, title and environmental consultants in the acquisition and negotiation of complex inter-government transactions on behalf of the client.
Beyond her real estate work, Best also represents private and public clients, including government agencies, in various state and local tax matters involving tax assessment, credit and refund disputes before state agencies, USDA loans and numerous tax incentives for developer clients.
In addition, Best volunteered as a Board Member for the Apopka Family Learning Center, and was also on the Board of Trustees for the City of Orlando Mennello Museum, and the Orange County Clerk of Court Customer Service Advisory Council. She continues to volunteer her time to the American Heart Association Heart Walk’s.
Best was named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine in 2009 and listed among the “Florida Legal Elite” by Florida Trend magazine in 2016.
