Anne Novick Branan has been board-certified in Health Law since 1995 by The Florida Bar.
She is certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) by the Compliance Certification Board of the Health Care Compliance Association. The CHC designation reflects a professional level of competence and experience in compliance processes sufficient to assist healthcare business organizations.
Branan advises national health care providers in such areas as reimbursement and fraud and abuse under the Medicare and Medicaid programs, as well as creating solutions for her clients in administrative, regulatory and corporate matters relating to the delivery of health care goods and services. She has helped health care providers navigate the complex state and federal regulatory environment affecting acquisitions and contractual relationships, for home care providers and senior living facilities.
For more than 20 years, Branan has counseled health care clients in the development, implementation and effectiveness assessments of corporate compliance and ethics programs.
She guides health care providers through the process necessary to comply with the detailed requirements of government-imposed Corporate Integrity Agreements, by devising monitoring and training procedures, drafting policies, advising on reporting obligations and monitoring the mandated audits of independent review organizations.
Branan has in-depth knowledge of and experience in advising clients related to regulatory, corporate compliance and operational issues for home health agencies.
She brings a unique perspective to her representation of health care clients because of her 10-year experience as a health care professional prior to becoming an attorney.
Branan is a frequent author and speaker to organizations including Home Care Association of Florida and the Health Care Compliance Association.
She has been designated a “Florida Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers magazine and recognized among “The Best Lawyers in America.” In 2017, Branan was named “Lawyer of the Year” in Fort Lauderdale for Health Care Law.
