Kelly B. Holbrook’s practice is commercial litigation, involving a concentration in employment and labor law, association law and administrative law.
As part of her practice, Holbrook represents companies in the litigation of significant disputes involving contracts and commercial dealings. She routinely handles matters involving non-competition agreements, condominium association disputes and homeowner association disputes.
Holbrook routinely handles all types of employment law litigation in both state and federal court, including whistleblower and retaliation claims, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Federal Civil Rights Act, the Fair Housing Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, wage and hour disputes and state and local employment laws. Holbrook also has extensive experience handling cases before the FCHR and the EEOC.
Holbrook also assists her clients with employment law and human resource issues such as hiring, firing, discipline, wage and hour issues, wrongful discharge, claims avoidance, drafting and interpreting employment contracts, separation agreements, trade secret and non-competition agreements and internal investigations. She has extensive experience reviewing, drafting and updating employee handbooks for clients. Holbrook also conducts in-house training for employees and management regarding employment law issues such as harassment and discrimination.
She has appellate experience in diverse subject areas including commercial disputes, educator licensing and products liability. In addition, Holbrook handles matters involving products liability defense, personal injury defense, and educator licensing matters.
Holbrook has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Law & Politics magazine in 2010 and 2011. In 2013-2017, Super Lawyers magazine recognized Holbrook as a “Super Lawyer.” She also holds an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating with Martindale-Hubbell.
