Sara M. Klco is well-versed in complex commercial and securities litigation in state and federal courts and arbitrations. She has managed cases from start to finish, and has first-hand experience with hearings, depositions, and mediations.
Klco has significant experience representing individuals in connection with investigations and actions initiated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and the state securities regulators.
Prior to joining the firm, Klco clerked for the Honorable Dorian K. Damoorgian at the Fourth District Court of Appeal, where she worked on numerous appeals concerning various areas of civil and criminal law.
She received her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Stetson University and concurrently obtained her J.D. and M.B.A. from Stetson University College of Law. While in law school, Klco served on Stetson’s Law Review and Moot Court Board, and was a member of Phi Delta Phi. Upon graduation, she received the National Order of Scribes award for excellence in legal writing and professionalism and the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award.
Klco’s educational experience also includes a judicial internship with the Honorable Elizabeth A. Jenkins at the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and a summer abroad at Nankai University College of Law in Tianjin, China.
Klco is an active member of various professional and community organizations.
