Erin Kolmansberger focuses her national practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation in federal and state trial courts, and before arbitral panels.
She represents clients ranging from individuals, receivers, and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies in major litigation including, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, class actions, and breach of contract actions.
Kolmansberger has extensive experience in the defense of brokerage firms and institutions against multi-million dollar claims asserted by customers in state and federal court, and in FINRA arbitration proceedings. In this context, she has played key roles on litigation teams that have obtained: dismissals of state claims with prejudice; $0 FINRA awards; and vacatur of an arbitration award.
She has also defended multi-million dollar class actions filed across the country (California and Florida). In a class action lawsuit under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, she led a team of 80+ attorneys in targeted e-discovery and was part of the litigation team that defeated class certification.
Kolmansberger often works closely with general counsel and co-counsel throughout the country in the management and organization of complex multi-jurisdictional litigation.
Prior to joining Broad and Cassel, Kolmansberger practiced in New Jersey where she clerked for the Honorable Michael Haas.
Kolmansberger lives in Miami with her husband and twin sons.
