Heather A. Purdy has an extensive background in real estate, including experience in complex purchase and sale agreements, real property tax issues, and the formation of holding companies and joint venture partnerships.
Prior to joining Broad and Cassel, Purdy worked with a national hotel property development company. While there, she assisted with all aspects of the acquisition and management of both high-value hotels and raw land, including issues related to litigation, tax assessment and compliance.
Purdy also spent several years working for a commercial construction company. That experience gave her a more comprehensive understanding of the real estate industry, and it has enabled her to provide more insightful service to each and every client.
She earned her juris doctor from Emory University School of Law, where she graduated with honors, served as the President of the Tax Law Society, participated as a member of the Moot Court Society, won the Morton H. Aronson Franchise Law Award, and earned a Certificate in Transactional Law and Skills.
Purdy is an active member of various professional and community organizations.
