Bruce Wiener is a member of the Firm’s Management Committee. He is also Managing Partner of the Firm’s Tallahassee office.

Wiener, a Florida Bar Certified Real Estate Lawyer, focuses his practice on transactional real estate law, commercial lending and land use. He represents buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of commercial, office, multifamily, student housing, acreage and timberland property.

His lender representation includes: the preparation of loan documentation for commercial mortgage loan transactions; the preparation of loan documents for construction and development projects; and performing due diligence investigations with respect to collateral, including the review of title, survey, land use entitlement, leasing and related matters.

Wiener also represents developers and other land owners with respect to the permitting and development of their property, from the initial permitting stage to the actual sale of the completed development or components thereof. Such representation also typically includes assisting the developer with the creation of covenants, restrictions and easements for the contemplated project.

His work also involves providing contract, title and closing services on behalf of developers and institutions of higher education as to land and projects that are student or university oriented. Wiener recently provided comprehensive representation as local Florida counsel to the developers of a student housing project in Tallahassee. He closed the entire parcel assemblage, the construction loan and, upon completion, the permanent refinancing transaction. He also assisted the client in closing each parcel of land and worked with the applicable lenders, surveyors and title underwriters to complete all project transactions from start to finish.

Wiener also represents landlords and tenants in the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases.

Wiener is an active member of various organizations, including The Florida Bar (Real Property, Probate and Trust Law as well as Environmental and Land Use sections), the Tallahassee Bar Association, and the Board of Visitors of The Florida State University College of Law.
