Michael Wilson Appointed to Construction Law Certification Committee
Michael Wilson, Partner in the Orlando office of Broad and Cassel, will serve on the inaugural committee for Construction Law Certification. As a member of the committee, Mr. Wilson will review the credentials of the first group of applicants seeking certification in construction law, develop the policy to implement the standards, as well as draft and administer the first examination.
“It is an honor to be a part of the committee,” says Wilson. “This committee is made up of a variety of construction lawyers who specialize and practice in all aspects of construction law, which will allow for a fair and balanced examination to be created.”
Wilson’s own experience includes more than 17 years in construction litigation and construction law. His statewide practice specializes in complex claims, representing primarily public and private owners, developers, and contractors in the areas of project impact and delay claims, project defect claims and payment disputes among project participants. Additionally, Wilson has extensive experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
The Construction Law Certification Committee consists of eight other attorneys throughout Florida. The inaugural committee will serve until June 2006.
