Roy Kobert elected to Board of Directors

Roy Kobert, a partner of the Orlando office, was recently elected to the Downtown Orlando Partnership Board of Directors for the 2005-2008 term.  

Founded in 1962 as Downtown Orlando Council, Inc, the Downtown Orlando Partnership is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and economic development of Downtown Orlando. The Downtown Orlando Partnership is comprised of members whose primary focus is to promote events, organization, people, leadership and excitement for downtown.  Nearly 300 companies with over 1,100 dues paying members belong to the Downtown Orlando Partnership.

Membership is comprised of a wide variety of retailers, bankers, architects, developers, attorneys, accountants, investors and other professionals who have businesses in and/or do business in Downtown Orlando  www.downtownorlandopartnership.com.

Roy joined Broad and Cassel in 1992.  Since 1997, he has chaired the firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditor’s Rights Practice Group and since 1999 has co-chaired the firm’s Special Assets Practice Group.  Roy is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification.  He has extensive experience in representing secured creditors, commercial debtors, bankruptcy panel trustees and creditor committees throughout the country.
