Sasha Klein, Andrew Sheeran and Jeremy Springhart join Orlando office
Orlando, FL; November 20, 2006 — The statewide law firm, Broad and Cassel, is pleased to announce the addition of three Associates to the Orlando office: Sasha Klein, Estate Planning and Trusts; Andrew Sheeran, Land Use and Environmental Law; and Jeremy Springhart, Construction Law and Litigation and Commercial Litigation.
Ms. Klein recently received an LL.M., Master’s in Taxation from the University of Florida College of Law. She earned her Juris Doctorate and Law and Business Certificate from Vanderbilt University Law School, where she served as President of the Law and Business Society and the Jewish Law Students Association. Ms. Klein graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida. Ms. Klein published her thesis, “Privacy on the Internet,” 2000-2001, for the University of Florida’s Scholars Program and was a recipient of the Anderson Award: Scholar of Highest Merit. She is also a founder and Board of Director for PureHealth, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation supporting children charities nationwide.
Mr. Sheeran previously served as a summer associate in the Orlando office, where he worked in a diverse array of practice groups including real estate, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, land use and environmental law, corporate, and affordable housing. Additionally, Mr. Sheeran served as a law clerk in the Boca Raton office of Broad and Cassel. Prior to joining Broad and Cassel, Mr. Sheeran was an Assistant in the Clerk’s Office at the Alachua County Courthouse in Gainesville, Fla. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida and later received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
For the past several years, Mr. Springhart has concentrated his practice in the area of construction litigation, including delay damage and defects claims, professional negligence claims, claims for unforeseen site conditions and payment disputes. His experience in the courtroom spans from eighteen jury trials to several bench trials to dozens of evidentiary hearings. Mr. Springhart began his career as an attorney for the State of Florida, where he prosecuted criminal cases as well as civil actions for violations of Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act and Racketeering Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act. Mr. Springhart continues to represent clients in commercial disputes, including private actions for fraud and civil theft.
