Heather Conger, Vivian de las Cuevas-Diaz, Martin Fitzpatrick, and Cathy Sellers Announced as New Partners with Firm
Orlando, FL; January 2, 2007 — The statewide law firm, Broad and Cassel, is pleased to announce that four attorneys have been extended an invitation to become Partners with the Firm: Heather Conger of Orlando, Vivian de las Cuevas-Diaz of Miami, Martin Fitzpatrick of Tallahassee, and Cathy Sellers of Tallahassee.

Previously serving as Of Counsel in the Miami office, Ms. Vivian de las Cuevas-Diaz is a member of the Firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University, where she graduated in 1997, and thereafter received her J.D. in 2000, from Tulane University Law School. Ms. de las Cuevas-Diaz has extensive experience in complex real estate transactions, for both private and public clients. She also has experience in commercial lending. Ms. de las Cuevas-Diaz is an active member of the community, and has served as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for The Cuban American Bar Association (CABA) and has been recently elected to the Board of CABA. Her civic participation includes The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, The Junior League of Miami, The Latin Builders Association, The Builders Association of South Florida, and The Florida Association of Women Lawyers. Ms. de las Cuevas-Diaz joined the Firm in 2006.
Formerly an Associate in the Orlando office, Ms. Heather Conger is member of the Firm’s Corporate and Securities and Affordable Housing and Tax Credit Practice Groups. Ms. Conger received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia in 1993, cum laude. She then received her J.D., magna cum laude, in 1997, from the Florida State University College of Law. Ms. Conger has worked on many affordable housing deals, business transactions, bond transactions and real estate closings. She enjoys supporting a number of community organizations, including various animal shelters and arts organizations. Ms. Conger joined the Firm in 1998.
Previously Of Counsel in the Tallahassee office, Ms. Cathy Sellers is a member of the Firm’s Land Use and Environmental Law Practice Group. Ms. Sellers received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1976, from the University of Florida, with honors. She received her J.D. with high honors, from Florida State University in 1988. Ms. Sellers' practice has focused on environmental and land use law as well as Florida administrative law. She is a frequent speaker on Florida administrative law and environmental law topics in connection with Florida Chamber of Commerce environmental and land use seminars. Ms. Sellers joined the Firm in 2004.
Formerly Of Counsel in the Tallahassee office, Mr. Martin Fitzpatrick is a member of the Firm’s Commercial Litigation and Appellate Practice Groups. Mr. Fitzpatrick received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, cum laude, from Stetson University, in 1991. He then received his J.D. in 1994, from Florida State University College of Law. Mr. Fitzpatrick has extensive commercial litigation experience. He represents clients in the federal, state, administrative and arbitration arenas on matters ranging from business, securities or employment disputes to complex constitutional class actions. Mr. Fitzpatrick is active in various professional and community organizations. He joined the Firm in 2001.
