C. Ken Bishop Receives Civil Circuit Mediator Certification

ORLANDO, FL; September 6, 2007 — The statewide law firm, Broad and Cassel, is pleased to announce that C. Ken Bishop has become Florida Supreme Court certified as a civil circuit mediator. Mr. Bishop, former Firm Chairman and the founder of the first branch office of Broad and Cassel in Orlando in 1977, is currently a member of the Firm’s Eminent Domain Practice Group.

With more than 35 years of legal experience, Mr. Bishop served as Chairman of Broad and Cassel from 1986-2000, and as Chairman Emeritus from 2000-2002. He has an extensive background in real estate law, real property, construction law and eminent domain issues. Mr. Bishop has represented numerous landowners within the state of Florida as well as serving as lead and special eminent domain counsel for city and county government organizations, including the Orlando/Orange Expressway Authority, the Orange and Volusia county school boards, the Seminole County Expressway Authority, the Sanford Aviation Authority and the Miami Beach City Commission.

Mr. Bishop has successfully litigated inverse condemnation cases and complex issues of business damages, environmental and development issues, as well as relocation issues. Additionally, he has worked with most of the legal, engineering and financial experts in eminent domain in the Central Florida region.

Mr. Bishop pursued his circuit civil mediation certification in order to serve others with their needs for mediators with an expertise in eminent domain issues.
