Construction Attorneys to Present on Construction Project Management in Daytona Beach, Fla.

ORLANDO, Fla.; June 18, 2008 — The statewide law firm Broad and Cassel is pleased to announce that Orlando Partner Michael K. Wilson and Associate Wendell Bruce Hays will present at an upcoming Lorman seminar covering the management of construction projects. The seminar will take place June 26, at the Holiday Inn Express Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Designed for a broad audience of attorneys, project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, subcontractors, developers and real estate professionals the seminar will provide insight and tools for managing the construction process from preconstruction to project closeout. As speakers, Wilson and Hays will help update attendees on important construction issues and current trends.

Wilson and Hays, along with two additional presenters from the construction industry, will cover a range of topics, including project risk awareness, construction contracts, management schedules, project impacts like delays, inefficiency and acceleration, as well as construction claims and other documentation.

With nearly 20 years of construction law and litigation experience, Wilson focuses on complex claims, representing both public and private owners, developers and contractors in the areas of project impact and delay claims, project defect claims and payment disputes among project participants. He serves as chair of the Firm’s Construction Law and Litigation Practice Group and is a board-certified construction lawyer. Wilson has received numerous awards and accolades from prestigious publications and organizations and is recognized as one of the leading attorneys in his field in the State of Florida.

A member of the Firm’s Construction Law and Litigation, Commercial Litigation, and Appellate Practice Groups, Hays works with a diverse roster of clients, both public and private, large and small. A decorated combat veteran, Hays’ military experience administering intelligence questioning, interrogations and debriefings have contributed to his skillfulness in conducting cross-examinations and depositions. Hays concentrates his practice on complex construction issues and has extensive experience litigating matters before administrative law judges in the Division of Administrative Hearings.
