ORLANDO, Fla.; June 25, 2008 — The statewide law firm Broad and Cassel is honored to announce that 17 Firm attorneys have been recognized by their peers for their legal expertise and will be listed in Florida Trend Magazine’s fifth annual edition of the “Florida Legal Elite.”

Three Firm attorneys featured in the July edition were recognized as “Up & Coming Legal Elite,” including:
  • Vivian de las Cuevas-Diaz, Miami Partner
  • George “Trey” Tate, III, Orlando Associate
  • Rhett Traband, Miami Partner
Out of more than 80,000 members of the Florida Bar, less than two percent were chosen for this year’s “Florida Legal Elite” listing. Several of Broad and Cassel’s elected attorneys have been honored as “Florida Legal Elite” in years past and have been recognized countless times for their legal prowess and knowledge of their field.

“Florida Legal Elite” and “Up & Coming Legal Elite” honorees were nominated by Florida Bar members, who were surveyed to name lawyers whom they hold in the highest regard — lawyers they have worked with or would recommend to others. Lawyers were given scores based on the number of votes they received and whether the votes came from within their firm (1 Point) or outside their firm (3 Points). A panel of “2007 Legal Elite” lawyers representing different practice areas and cities across the state reviewed the selection process and the list of finalists.

Broad and Cassel is one of Florida’s most prestigious corporate law firms, serving clients worldwide from Boca Raton, Destin, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Tallahassee, Tampa and West Palm Beach.
