Orlando Attorney, Nicolette Vilmos Appointed to Board of Directors for Harbor House and March of Dimes Foundation
ORLANDO, Fla.; August 1, 2008 — The statewide law firm Broad and Cassel is pleased to announce that Orlando Associate Nicolette Vilmos was re-appointed to the Board of Directors for Harbor House of Central Florida, Orange County Florida’s only state-certified domestic violence facility. In addition, Vilmos will serve her first year on the Board of Directors for the March of Dimes Foundation, a leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and infant health.
Vilmos has extensive litigation experience in the areas of intellectual property and construction law, as well as commercial landlord tenant, banking, bankruptcy, business, and contract disputes. She is a member of Broad and Cassel’s Intellectual Property, Commercial Litigation, Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights, and Special Assets Practice Groups.
In addition to her community outreach as a Harbor House and March of Dimes board member, Vilmos is active in a variety of professional organizations such as the Central Florida Inns of Court, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Orange County Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association Intellectual Property Committee.
As a returning board member, Vilmos will help support the mission of the Harbor House of Central Florida, which strives to provide safe accommodations, counseling, community-rehabilitation, emotional support and legal advocacy for thousands of domestic violence survivors in the region.
Dedicated to improving the health of babies and preventing birth defects, premature death and infant mortality, the March of Dimes is specially qualified to take on some of the largest threats to the health of infants through genetic research, community services, education and advocacy. Established in 1938, the March of Dimes was the first grassroots fund-raiser for the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis which President Franklin D. Roosevelt created to conquer polio by asking the public to send dimes to the White House.
