ORLANDO, Fla. (May 11, 2018) — Firm Partner Robert Alfert recently spoke during the opening panel session at the International Conference on Automated People Movers (APM) & Automated Transit Systems (ATS), addressing key topics of project delivery methods, contract vehicles, performance metrics and risk shifting/risk management. The conference was hosted by the Transportation & Development Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
The panelists included Stan Thornton, Chief Operating Officer of Orlando International Airport (OIA), and Al Illustrato, Executive Vice President of Tampa International Airport, both of which are managing multi-billion dollar airport expansion programs with APM system projects. Alfert offered his expertise on APM projects, which include OIA’s $3.2 billion terminal program and LAX’s $2.8 billion APM P3.
Board certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar, Alfert has been actively involved as counselor on some of Florida’s largest infrastructure transportation and development projects, drawing on more than 20 years’ experience in handling complex construction matters and other technical litigation matters.
