Melissa VanSickle Elected to Key Leadership Positions with The Florida Bar, Leadership Tallahassee

Tallahassee, Fla. (July 19, 2019) – Broad and Cassel LLP, which will combine with Nelson Mullins on Aug. 1, today announced Tallahassee Partner Melissa VanSickle has been elected to the Executive Committee of The Florida Bar Board of Governors.

VanSickle was first elected to the 52-member board in 2016, joining other prominent leaders in the profession from across the state in formulating and adopting matters of policy concerning the activities of The Florida Bar. She serves as one of two circuit representatives for the second judicial circuit on the board.

Additionally, VanSickle was elected chair-elect of the Leadership Tallahassee Board of Governors, a 20-member board governing the program of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce. The organization strives to cultivate a diverse network of emerging and experienced leaders committed to improving the community.

VanSickle is a partner with Broad and Cassel in Tallahassee representing buyers and sellers in all aspects of the sale and acquisition of commercial property and developers in commercial and residential projects. An adjunct professor at the Tallahassee Bar, VanSickle also serves on the executive council of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section and is a graduate of The Florida Bar’s Leadership Academy.
