ORLANDO, Fla. (March 14, 2016) — Statewide law firm Broad and Cassel today announced Emery H. Rosenbluth Jr. is the recipient of the 2016 William B. Trickel, Jr. Professionalism Award.
Recipients of the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) Professionalism Awards represent the best in practice, service, professionalism, ethical conduct, demeanor and high moral standards in the legal community. Winners of the Trickel award have practiced law for 15 or more years.
Rosenbluth’s colleagues nominated him for the award citing his service to the profession and enthusiasm for practicing with uncompromising ethical standards, still, fifty years after his admission to practice in Florida.
“Emery’s reputation and measurable contributions in the legal community stand as a model of professionalism for the bar association and a new generation of Florida lawyers,“ said Orlando Partner Michael Bittman. “The award is well-deserved and a small representation of his exemplary legal work over the past five decades.”
In 2015, Rosenbluth joined Broad and Cassel and brought five decades of litigation experience to the Orlando office as of counsel in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Specifically, his broad litigation and mediation experience has concentrated on complex commercial disputes in areas such as contracts; construction/development; corporation, shareholder and partnership disputes; commercial torts; real estate and land use; banking; foreclosures; and employment.
Rosenbluth holds a bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Penn., and received his juris doctor from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He also is a certified civil circuit court mediator for the Florida Supreme Court; a certified mediator for the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida; a certified mediator for the Florida Fifth District Court of Appeal; a qualified Florida arbitrator; and a past president for the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, Inc. Rosenbluth has been active in various community organizations over the years and holds several accolades, having been recognized by his peers for his work on various accounts. He was recently named a top lawyer in Orlando by Orlando Magazine; 2016 Orlando Bet-The-Company Litigation Lawyer of the Year, by Best Lawyers; and now adds the William B. Trickel, Jr. Professionalism Award to his long list of achievements.
