MIAMI (July 23, 2019) — Stephen Siegel recently served as a session speaker at the 12th Annual Healthcare Summit hosted by the South Florida Hospital & Healthcare Association. Siegel presented on legal issues involved in a data breach under HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) and FIPA ( Florida Information Protection Act of 2014) titled “Leading Information Safety: Planning for Data Privacy & Safety.”
The two-day intensive event focused on varied areas of health care business operations that impact emergency management and preparedness, featuring recognized experts and presentations.
Board Certified in Health Law by The Florida Bar, Siegel has been practicing law for more than 25 years and focuses his practice in all areas of health law, ranging from regulatory issues to enforcement and general corporate matters. He is Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) by the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA).
